Strategy to improve the management of the scientific-methodological performance of the professor in the university extension Quevedo
Main Article Content
Abstract
Exploratory studies conducted at the Technical University of Babahoyo, Ecuador, show the lack of linkage between scientific and methodological activity. Therefore, the general objective of the research was to determine the effectiveness of a methodological strategy for the management of the scientific-methodological performance of the professor in the Quevedo university extension, attached to the aforementioned university. In order to implement the strategy, all the professors who are part of the above mentioned extension were selected. The scientific research was based on theoretical and empirical methods, as well as on mathematical and statistical methods. The research work was developed in two phases, during the first one, the preparation of teachers for the development of the foreseen scientific-methodological management was diagnosed, adopting as evaluative reference the planning, organization, execution and control of the teaching-learning process, as well as the scientific activity deployed within the process itself. In the second, the effectiveness of the strategy was specified by means of a quasi-experiment; in addition, the theoretical validation of the result was specified by means of the criterion of 13 experts. The results achieved favorably modify the management of the scientific-methodological performance of the faculty under study, by providing them with an optimal preparation to face the pedagogical direction of the teaching-learning process, which generated a significant impact on the academic performance of the students, granting validity to the working hypothesis.
